Abstract

With trends in collection development moving towards digital, streaming resources, and acquiring sets of materials, the HELIN Consortium pulled together cataloging, acquisitions and licensing information through a discovery platform. The discovery layer, in this case Innovative Interface’s Encore, harvests disparate collections and enables the library user to easily refine her search through facets. Rice Sanders described the HELIN Consortium’s Encore implementation and experiences, while McQuillan highlighted the West Bloomfield Townships Public Library use of the Encore platform and other products.
